Facilities Main Hall A large main hall suitably lined out for badminton which will seat 175 (120 for dancing/seated at tables). Facilities include: Overhead fluorescent lighting. Coloured spot lights. Stage with overhead lighting. Completely modernised and refurbished kitchen with two double ovens, fully automatic dishwasher, microwave and plate warmer. Toilets including a unisex disabled toilet. Hiring of the hall is inclusive of use of tables, chairs, kitchen, crockery/cutlery etc. Committee Room A pleasant carpeted room with tables and chairs and tea making facilities suitable for committee meetings, darts playing, etc. Coffee Bar An attractive and cosy venue for smaller functions, children's parties etc. Facilities include: Seating at tables for 20, with additional separate seating. Well equipped kitchen area behind bar. Toilet. Outside area with covered patio, lawn, garden, picnic tables and BBQ. Hire of Furniture etc. There are 14 large tables (approx 6' x 2'6"), 29 smaller tables and approximately 120 chairs. These, as well as the 2 urns, china and cutlery, are available for hire when not needed for events at the hall. Historical Notes The hall has been part of village life for over 100 years. It was at a meeting at Sunny Hill on Monday July 6th, 1890 that the menbers met 'to consider the question of the provision of a public room at Crawley Down'. Agreement was reached and the building went ahead and it seems that the entire cost of the 'ground, building and fitting came to £449. 13s. 8d.'
