Gildings Barn

Single-handedly built from the fallen oak timbers from the storm in the early 1980s, Gildings Barn was previously used to store hay for Gildings Farm’s dairy herds. The cows have moved on, but the barn has weathered many storms over nearly thirty years and now hosts functions to raise funds for a local hospice. Please be advised that the barn does not have central heating as such, so if chilly temperatures are expected, don’t forget your pashmina! The brickwork dance floor is a bit much for barefoot dancing, so for those ladies (or gents) who usually shed their shoes to dance, please bring your comfy flats for later. The entrance to the barn is very close to the junction between Partridge Lane and Burnt Oak Lane on the opposite side of the road. However, do not approach the venue via Burnt Oak Lane (unless you’re a keen off-roader).
