East Horsley Village Hall

Main Hall 21m x 9 m (54 ft x 29 ft), including stage area. Up to 160 people seated theatre style. A light and airy space with a wood effect floor and a high ceiling which gives a very spacious feel. It can provide theatre-style seating for up to 180 people. The stage is full-width and curtained. In addition, a commercial-size, well-equipped, private kitchen, approximately 8 metres x 3.5 metres (26 feet x 11 feet) adjoins the Hall. This is separated from the auditorium by a wide serving hatch and a pull-down divider. The hall has projector screens, a high-quality P.A. System and a hearing induction loop. It also has very comfortable, high-specification, upholstered seating. Apart from activities such as badminton, it is a great choice for a wide range of events from formal conferences and dinners to art exhibitions, Christmas fairs, dog shows, numerous keep-fit classes and, with a little extra decoration, can be a stunning venue for special celebrations and even weddings. Suitable for Conferences and presentations (180 people), exhibitions, exercise classes, large parties, indoor sports.  Millennium Room 9 m x 8 m (30 ft x 26 ft) Up to 75 people A very pleasant, modern room providing theatre-style seating for up to 75 people. It has its own small, domestic-type kitchen which can cater very well for the needs of room users. An additional feature is that the room can be divided by a heavy duty, acoustic screen to form two smaller spaces both with access from the main corridor. It is widely used for parties and numerous dance and exercise classes such as aerobics and Pilates. Multi-functional (75 people), parties, exercise classes.  Lovelace Room 9 m x 6 m (29 ft x18 ft) Up to 50 people A very popular room that can cater for up to 50 people theatre-style. It benefits from a very generous kitchen approximately 4.5 metres x 2.5 metres (15 feet x 8 feet) separated from the room by a large serving counter and pull-down divider. Widely used for card playing groups, wine appreciation seminars, family parties as well as formal and informal meetings of local societies and organisations. Multi-functional (50 people), parties, seminars.  Agnes Conisbee Room 6 m x 6 m (18 ft x 18 ft) Up to 25 people A charming little room named after the lady who is reputed to have started the W. I. in East Horsley after the First World War. It can cater for up to 25 people, theatre-style, and is ideal for small groups and classes. Current hirers include U3A groups, the Parish Council and various small classes from gardening to floral workshops. Also ideal for committee meetings. Suitable for meetings (25 people), small parties.  Club Room 9 m x 9 m (30 ft x 30 ft) overall An L-shaped room specifically furnished and equipped for the use of Horsley Youth Club but nonetheless available to other users. It has its own “bar”, pool table, etc. But, like the rest of the building, it is not licensed to sell alcohol. Whilst not offering the open space-flexibility of other rooms, it can be a very attractive option for certain meetings / functions, when other rooms are not available or when an additional room is required. Use of Horsley Youth Club equipment must be agreed in advance with the Club.
