The Fountain Inn

The Fountain is located in the quaint village of Cowden, between East Grinstead and Royal Tunbridge Wells. Part of the building dates back to the Eighteenth century. Our beers are brewed locally by Harveys of Lewes, who have had nearly two centuries of history. We provide traditional English fayre from fresh fish and steaks to sandwiches, cut to order. We are spoiled by the stunning surrounding countryside, perfect for walking and cycling or even a leisurely drive. It is also a golfers paradise with 3 top golf courses on our doorstep. The challenging Hever golf course home of the Kent PGA Championship, the newly acquired Sweetwoods Park golf club and the 9 hole gem at Holtye voted one of the best 9 hole courses in the South of England with over 100 years of history and a test for the best. Local attractions include the impessive Hever Castle and gardens, home of Anne Boleyn, and Penshurst Place and gardens. Nearby accomodation can be found at Becketts, Pylegate Farm.
